Apache

‘Apache’, paintings by Paola Rava dedicated to the American natives.
A path dedicated to American natives, with 14 paintings – oil on rough canvas – of the Bolognese artist Paola Rava.
After the past exhibition in the XIV century ‘Convent of the Waters’, ‘Apache’ may now be visited in the small atelier in D’Azeglio Street, 35.
The impulse that pushed Paola to use the brushes again was the interest towards ‘totem-animals’, like the Wolf or the Eagle or the Bison, mixed with paintings of warriors and squaws. “The American natives – she says – had the cult of animals provided with great energies, subject that I deal in my book The secret power of animals. Today a spiritual education helping us to find again our human dimension is essential”.
